 My pension company underpaid me by a number of thousands of pounds against assurances they made to me as to early capital withrawal value. Had I known of the actual value, with tax considerations on top, I would never have taken the decision to accept early payment. This worried me greatly but I approached Mike on the recommendation of a colleague, and after sending one letter to the pension company prepared by him outlining the pension company's error, they agreed to pay me the balance due within 2 weeks. This was a fraction of the time it would have taken to engage the pension company's complaints process or the Pension Ombudsman, with all the uncertainty that involves.
